This is the January 2012 halfyear list, based on results up to the end of December 2011. It features a number of innovations. Firstly, it is the first list to include halfyear Standardplay grades. The great majority of leagues, including all but one of the largest, have reported their results for September – December. A minority have not.

For full details on an individual player, click his grading reference (“Ref”). This will show his history of grades back to 1994, plus – a major innovation – his detailed game results, for previous seasons as well as the current one. The database, game lists included, will be updated once a month or so from now on, so you can check your new results as the season progresses.

Players without a current grade
A third innovation is that far more players are included. Until now, the list has excluded players who have never had a published grade. It now includes everyone, right up to this month’s one-game-only new players. By default the lookups will not show everyone: you will see only players with a current grade. To see everyone, check the “include ungraded players” box. Note that deceased players are treated as ungraded for this purpose, even if they have a current grade.
